I am still plugging away getting things ready for the upcoming Christmas open houses, so I am working on projects in bulk! One of my side gigs is doing estate sales. We did one recently for a sweet woman who was downsizing. She had a lot of random wood pieces. I purchased several old table leaves from her. They had been in her barn for a while so they all needed a good cleaning.
After they were clean and dry, I added a coat of Varathane Crystal Clear Satin Exterior polyurethane.
I know I have said it before, but I really love what a coat of poly does to enhance the richness of the wood.
I created stencils for each on using my Silhouette Cameo 3. Some were existing designs I had purchased and some I designed. I painted each sign with various colors.
When they were dry, I peeled off the stencil and gave each sign two more coats of the exterior poly.
These are the finished signs. I added hangers on the back of each one and they are finished!
